Soil & Compost — common questions
What does a soil test measure?
A full soil panel covers physico-chemical properties and nutrients — pH, electrical conductivity, organic carbon, available nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, plus micronutrients — for agriculture, gardening, real-estate due diligence or environmental compliance.
How much soil or compost sample should I send?
About 500 g of well-mixed sample in a clean zip-lock bag. For a field, collect from several spots and mix; the exact instructions are shown on the package and confirmed after you order.
Can you test compost maturity and quality?
Yes — compost and manure panels assess parameters relevant to maturity and nutrient value. Pick the full panel or customise to the parameters you need.
How long does a soil test take?
Typically 5 to 10 working days after the lab receives your sample; the exact turnaround is shown on each package.
